Compassion Mind Training για Educators

Compassionate Mind Training (CMT) for Educators is a psychoeducational program based on Compassion Focused Therapy (CFT), designed to strengthen emotional resilience, self-regulation and professional well-being within the school environment.

Overview

Compassionate Mind Training for Educators is an 8-week psychoeducational program designed for teachers across all levels of education. Its aim is to strengthen emotional resilience, improve relationships with both self and students, and cultivate compassion and self-regulation skills within the context of everyday school life.
Grounded in the work of Irons & Heriot-Maitland and inspired by the theoretical framework of Professor Paul Gilbert, the program guides participants in developing a more compassionate way of thinking, responding, and relating both inside and outside the classroom.

Content
Throughout the program participants will explore:

the "three systems" model and how emotional imbalance can arise when certain systems dominate
what compassion is, the qualities that strengthen it, the blocks that hinder it and how it can be consciously cultivated
the three flows of compassion: giving compassion, receiving compassion and self-compassion
how to develop skills in emotional regulation through mindfulness and compassion-based practices
Participants will also have the opportunity to build skills in the following key areas:
Mindfulness: We'll explore the power of focused attention and awareness, practicing a range of mindfulness exercises that support emotional balance and self-regulation.
Breathwork: We'll practice scientifically validated breathing patterns that help calm both body and mind, promoting physiological and psychological regulation.
Compassion: We'll explore how the “compassionate mind” develops through practices that engage memory, imagination, bodily expression, emotions and thoughts.
Accessibility: The program is delivered in a neuroinclusive way, accommodating diverse learning and processing needs. Movement is welcomed during sessions and every meeting includes a dedicated break for rest and regulation.
