Compassionate Mind Training for
Professionals & Teams

Compassionate Mind Training (CMT) for Professionals & Teams is an evidence-based psychoeducational program designed for professionals and teams. It enhances resilience, reduces stress and fosters a healthier, more supportive work environment through the development of mindfulness and compassion skills.

Overview

Compassionate Mind Training for Professionals and Teams is a structured 8-week psychoeducational program designed for individuals working in professional environments of all kinds. Its goal is to strengthen emotional resilience, reduce stress, and improve collaboration, communication and workplace climate through cultivating compassion and emotional self-regulation.
Based on the work of Irons & Heriot-Maitland and inspired by Professor Paul Gilbert’s theory, the program guides participants to develop a more compassionate and mindful way of thinking, collaborating and approaching their professional roles.

Content
During the program participants will learn:
how the human mind tends to get trapped in vicious cycles of negative thinking and intense emotions, impacting behavior and relationships
the “three systems” model and how imbalance among them can undermine mental resilience and teamwork
what compassion is, what strengthens or blocks it, and how to consciously cultivate it as an inner attitude and practice
that compassion flows in three directions: toward others, from others, and toward ourselves — and how these three flows shape team culture
how to develop self-regulation skills and emotional stability by applying mindfulness techniques and compassionate practices in everyday professional life
Participants will have the opportunity to develop skills in key areas including:
Mindfulness: Exploring the power of attention and awareness, and practicing a variety of mindfulness exercises that enhance attentional stability and self-regulation
Breathwork: Practicing specific breathing patterns scientifically shown to promote physiological and psychological calmness of body and mind
Compassion: Investigating how the “compassionate mind” develops through practices involving memory, imagination, bodily expression, emotions, and thoughts
Participants are encouraged to practice these skills between sessions with the support of audio recordings and written materials.

Accessibility: The program is designed to respect the diverse needs of every child. It includes freedom of movement during sessions and time for breaks and relaxation, so every child feels comfortable and safe.
